PRESS RELEASE
2010 OSCEOLA MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
The Osceola Business Association will again host the "First Parade of the Day" starting at 8:00 A.M. on Memorial Day, May 31, 2010. Our theme this year is: ‘Osceola, Celebrating It's 100th Year Honoring Veterans’.
Parade officials encourage politicians and floats with a political theme to participate. Businesses and organizations may enter a float to promote their enterprises. Politics, business and organizations are American parade traditions in Osceola.
THE DISTRIBUTION OF CANDY BY HAND IS ENCOURAGED.
‘THROWING’ CANDY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
The Memorial Day Parade line up will start at 7:00 A.M. Units will report to "Parade Master"- Bus Kelver at Fern Hunsberger Part or the Osceola Fire Station and line up along Rodgers Street. The parade will follow its "NEW" route East on Rodgers, South on Osceola Avenue, then West on Lincolnway and ending at Grand Boulevard.
Please note on the map below that we are reversing the Parades flow as of this years 2010 Parade.
The parade committee includes Chairman Randy Leliaert, Master of Ceremonies Tom Krueger, and Parade Master Bus Kelver.

PLEASE OBEY THE CHILD VEHICLE RESTRAINT LOW TRAVELING TO AND FROM THE PARADE.
THE CHANGE IN THE DIRECTION OF THE PARADE THIS YEAR WAS REQUESTED BY OUR OSCEOLA LAW ENFORCEMENT TO IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF OUR PARADE.
